I just downloaded the demo version and was trying to add a recipe, but the New Recipe screen just had a find box -- no way to enter a recipe (I watched the demo). But there are about 100 recipes already in the chest. Is it possible that that's why I can't add a recipe -- due to the 75 recipe limit in the demo version? If so, may I have a clean copy, please? I downloaded from the California site, if that makes a difference.
I'm really excited about this program. At last, a program for and by geeks! And spreadsheet-based -- Perfect! I LOVE how flexible it is.

Hi,
Even though it is in demo mode, it will still let you add some more recipes to it. When you click on the "New Recipe" menu choice, it inserts a blank link in the recipe header grid below. That is where you can enter your new recipe header information. If you don't see this new blank line, you might have the grid sorted on something other than recipe name, so the blank link ends up at the end, off of the current grid's visible rows. You probably have some blank lines sitting in the recipe header grid.. Scroll down and see if you can find them. Or sort the grid on Recipe Name by clicking on the column header. You can also insert blank lines (new recipes) in the header grid by clicking on the '+' in the header grid's navigator bar at the bottom right. This is explained in the Help for the Recipe Chest.
If you add too many recipes, yes the software will limit how many recipes you can have until it is unlocked. I may have changed that limit a while ago but forgot to change the message.
To test the Recipe Chest out, if you hit the demo limit, delete some of the other recipes to put you back under the limit.
